COSTS FOR STARTING AN ADULT DAY CARE CENTER

COMMERCIAL: Leasing a 5000-8000 square foot facility can be a major expense, with build out costs ranging from $75K-$300K for larger centers

RENT:  A 2,000 square foot commercial space could cost between $2000 and $5000 a month, depending on location and amenities

LICENSING AND REGULATORY FEES:  Expect to pay $50-$5000 depending on state and facility capacity

INSURANCE: Property & public liability insurance range from $3500 to $5000. Don’t forget driver insurance, workman’s comp. Some Insurance companies have a package deal for adult day care.

EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES: Furniture, medical equipment and activity supplies

STAFFING: Staff recruitment and salaries are ongoing expense

WORKING CAPITAL: You will need funds to show the state that you can run for one year at minimum.  Aswell, as funds to cover until profits roll in.
